This Privacy Policy explains how Gladys AI ("Gladys AI," "we," "us," "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our application, websites, and services (the "Services").

1. Scope

This Policy applies to information collected through the Services. It does not apply to third-party websites or services you access through the Services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

A. Account and Contact Information

Name, email address, and other contact details you provide.

B. Technical and Usage Data

IP address, device and browser information, log data, and usage analytics.

C. User-Provided Information

Any other information you voluntarily submit (e.g., support requests).

D. SimpleWatch Data

If you use SimpleWatch, we store the web page addresses you ask it to watch, what you asked it to look for, the copies of those pages it keeps so it can tell what changed between checks, the results of each check, and the email address, WhatsApp number or Slack workspace you asked it to send alerts to.

We do not collect or process payment information at this time. If we add paid plans, we will update this Policy before we collect any payment information.

3. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services.
  • Process your requests and deliver results.
  • Authenticate access to connected services.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Communicate with you about the Services.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Google User Data

When you sign in to SimpleWatch with Google, we receive your name, your email address and your profile picture from your Google account. We use them only to create your account, to sign you in, and to show you which account is signed in. SimpleWatch does not ask for access to any other data in your Google account.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:

  • We use Google user data only to provide and improve the features you asked for.
  • We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use it for advertising.
  • We do not use Google user data to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and our AI providers do not use it to train theirs.
  • No person at Gladys AI reads your Google user data unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security or to comply with the law, or it has been aggregated and anonymized.

You can remove our access at any time from your Google Account permissions. You can also ask us to delete your account and the Google user data we hold by writing to support@askgladys.com.

5. Use of AI and OpenAI

We use third-party AI providers (including OpenAI) to process content you submit through the Services.

  • We send necessary content to OpenAI to produce requested outputs.
  • OpenAI does not use this content to train its models on our behalf.
  • We do not use your content to train our own models.

6. Data Retention

  • Sign-in sessions: Kept until you sign out or they expire. We do not keep the token Google gives us when you sign in.
  • Alert destinations: The email address, WhatsApp number or Slack account you connected is kept until you disconnect it or delete your account.
  • SimpleWatch pages: The copies of watched pages and the check results are kept while the watch exists and removed when you delete the watch.
  • Logs: Deleted whenever the system is updated.
  • Other data: Retained only as needed to provide the Services, resolve issues, or comply with law.

7. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, AI processing, analytics) who process data on our behalf.
  • Legal authorities if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
  • Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK IDTA/Addendum.

9. Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies or similar technologies for basic functionality and analytics. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. Children's Privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
